Processes documentation from prospective international students to meet enrollment goals while supporting strict adherence to university and federal immigration regulations and standards

Essential Job Functions

  • Reviews admissions applications, renders admissions decisions, monitors workflow of evaluation of academic credentials and determines scholarship eligibility
  • Communicates enrollment information to prospective students
  • Maintains student information in student information databases (e.g. student information system, SEVIS)
  • Coordinates various on-campus and virtual admissions events to support enrollment goals
  • Represents the university in various recruiting activities, such as attendance at conferences, fairs, events and telemarketing, both internal and external, to assist in the recruitment of new students
  • Assists in preparing and monitoring department budget
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in international recruitment or other related experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work empathetically with foreign national students and parents/guardians

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field of study 
  • Familiarity with Slate

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
