Essential Job Functions

  • Purchases various materials and supplies, as needed
  • Maintains materials inventory, tracking items and reordering, as needed
  • Receives ordered materials from vendors and processes payment for completed transactions
  • Assists with issuing stock and warehouse items and maintains inventory control
  • Works closely with other members of the department to update the department maintenance software system to maintain accurate listings of materials for scheduled maintenance
  • Maintains preventative maintenance schedules of all university assets
  • Closes complete work orders and verifies time and material is charged back to appropriate department
  • Responds to maintenance work order requests and prepares work orders, as necessary
  • Provides recommendations to create operational efficiencies such as, workflow and inventory control
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Moderate amount of experience working in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning maintenance, inventory or other related experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Forklift operator's license or a willingness to obtain such license upon hire

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
