Essential Job Functions

  • Utilizes appropriate cleaning procedures for assigned duties so that products are acquired, maintained, and stored according to university policy and health code regulations
  • Executes bakery banquet events and a la carte orders, as needed
  • Executes tasks required for opening and/or closing shifts and verifies necessary check lists to confirm that the bakery meets university standards
  • Prepares inventory lists for bakery items and ordering, as well as reviewing items received
  • Garnishes and plates bakery items for display, as appropriate for service
  • Maintains the proper storage and rotation of ready-made food products complying with appropriate standards
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Experience working in a bakery, bake shop or baking or other related experience
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Availability to work mornings and weekends

Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
