This position is funded by a 3-year Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Garrett Lee Smith (GLS) Campus Suicide Prevention grant

Essential Job Functions
- Supports the development and management of the advisory council who will work to identify gaps in student mental health services, education, information and communication
- Builds, expands and sustains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen available student referral networks for mental health and substance abuse
- Collaborates with the university clinical team to provide student support through case management, triage and crisis intervention
- Collaborates with the project director to engage community-based providers and develop formal student referral pathways
- Serves as the primary program liaison supporting various internal and external meetings, as well as interactions with students, referral organizations and others, as appropriate
- Collaborates with other university departments to maintain an understanding of internal student referral procedures in an effort to refer students in distress to the appropriate on-campus resources
- Develops, organizes and implements relevant mental health and substance training and educational programming for the campus community to reduce stigma and increase access to care for university students
- Organizes and develops social media campaigns surrounding mental health, substance abuse and crisis intervention
- Supports the program director with long-term program planning
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree
- Experience working in case management, direct clinical experience, experience working with diverse populations or other related experience
