Essential Job Functions

  • Manages and publishes content for social media accounts targeted at university alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and the wider campus state and regional communities
  • Develops various brand-based campaign and content strategies in alignment with academic and strategic priorities
  • Writes marketing copy for multiple owned and paid platforms, including social media channels, paid digital media, radio, out of home and web properties
  • Develops comprehensive marketing and media plans for campaigns utilizing internally owned channels as well as external paid channels
  • Collaborates with internal teams, as well as other university departments, to develop, maintain, and evolve campaigns in compliance with university policies, editorial standards and AP style guide in an effort to maintain consistent university messaging
  • Reports on campaign key performance indicators to senior leadership, providing assessment and recommendations
  • Manages content calendars and trafficking for multiple marketing campaigns
  • Coordinates and evaluates media vendor partnerships and opportunities
  • Manages vendor contracts, including vendor invoice payment and budget oversite
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in marketing, communications, media planning, media buying, content creation, marketing within higher education or in other related work
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working Adobe Creative Suite, Google Ads, Google Data Studio, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, digital and traditional advertising strategy and/or content marketing strategy
  • Experience with social media content planning, creation, and reporting
  • Strong writing skills: short and long form copy
  • Experience with project and vendor management
