Essential Job Functions
- Creates, develops and manages admissions events as part of recruitment plan, including selecting vendors, locations and agenda to promote positive and effective outcomes
- Plans, coordinates, and runs various admissions visitor events, including open houses, Career Explorations® program, fly-ins and educator programs
- Develops staffing plans to support the execution of the event coordinating faculty, departmental staff to support the program
- Manages program logistics and mitigates on site issues with students and faculty for the duration of the program
- Oversees and coordinates the registration process for admissions events
- Develops training materials, coordinates schedules and provides feedback and coaching to event staff
- Reviews and assesses the admissions events programs including logistics, facilities and guest experience to make recommendations and modifications, as necessary
- Completes general admissions duties as needed (e.g. lead campus tours, conduct administrative tasks, etc.)
- Maintains records per department guidelines
- Prepares and monitors departmental budget
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Experience working in event planning, marketing or in other related work
- Valid U.S. driver's license
