Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates events from conception through post-event including, but not limited to: acquiring approvals, determining budgets, selecting sites, strategizing and communicating with supporting departments, compiling supporting event documents, identify necessary event printed and electronic materials, on-site execution and post-event communications in compliance with university standards, policies and procedures
- Assists in auditing existing university event processes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develops and maintains working relationships to create a cohesive operation and working environment to maintain exceptional event execution
- Coordinates logistics for signature events and high profile distinguished guests visiting campus
- Manages in-person, virtual and hybrid events by using virtual meeting and event technology tools while implementing and incorporating best practices
- Maintains that marketing deliverables meet event objectives, are on time and reflective of university branding
- Works well with multiple and diverse stakeholders, vendors, staff, faculty and students to execute successful events
- Assists with managing external event inquiries and upon approval, manages all logistics to foster community relationships, and maintains successful external event execution
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in event management in-person, hybrid and virtual, or related experience
Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
