Summary

Provides strategic and operational leadership for recruitment, admission selection, and enrollment for students at the Charlotte Campus. Develops and executes a data-informed campus admissions plan aligned with university objectives; oversees admissions staff, events, and budget; and partners across the campus and university to strengthen enrollment pipelines, improve conversion and yield, and deliver a positive prospective-student experience

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Creates and implements annual and multi-year campus admissions and recruitment plans, events. Application activity and yield initiatives, to achieve campus enrollment goals; establishes milestones and monitors progress throughout the enrollment cycle
  • Collaborates with others on the Enrollment Management leadership Team to develop a universitywide, data-informed territory management strategy
  • Serves on the enrollment management leadership team and the Charlotte Campus leadership team; advises leaders on admissions performance, market conditions, enrollment trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborates with university admissions and university marketing to develop, execute, successful marketing strategies and campaigns using approved print, email, web, text, phone, social media, and other channels
  • Analyzes enrollment data and recruitment effectiveness to forecast enrollment and adjust recruitment plans, as necessary
  • Manages admissions operations to maintain timely, accurate, and consistent processing of admissions applications and related materials, application review and admissions decisions; establishes service standards, quality controls, and escalation protocols
  • Oversees effective use and continuous improvement of the admissions CRM and other systems, including workflows, communications, data integrity, reporting, integrations, and user adoption, in collaboration with university admissions and information technology
  • Coordinates campus admissions activities with those of other campus and university departments and the admissions representative network to provide a coordinated student experience from inquiry through enrollment
  • Builds and maintains recruitment pipelines and relationships with high schools, school counselors, employers, alumni, and other university and community partners; represents the university at recruitment and professional events
  • Maintains campus admissions practices, communications, records, and decisions comply with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and university policies, including requirements related to student records and data privacy
  • Prepares and monitors departmental budget
  • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Moderate amount of progressively responsible experience working in college or university admissions, recruitment or enrollment management, including leadership and supervisory responsibilities or other related experience
  • Experience developing and executing recruitment and admissions plans and managing admissions operations
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Proficiency with admissions CRM

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
