Summary

Oversees and coordinates budgets and budgeting process for enrollment management accounts, including reviewing, monitoring and analyzing budget data while staying within university spending guidelines

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates with department budget managers to maintain financial oversight and accurate updates of department budget accounts
  • Coordinates the efficient review and approval process for new and renewing contracts, according to established university policies and procedures
  • Prepares ad hoc budget reports to support analysis and planning, as needed
  • Prepares and oversees procurement process for supplies and other departmental purchases according to university policies and procedures
  • Assists department staff in arranging travel to attend various trips and conferences
  • Confirms that funds that are allocated for expenses are spent appropriately; identifies and addresses issues associated with discrepancies
  • Stays up to date on university policies and procedures as related to procurement, budgeting and travel policies and supports the continuing education of the enrollment management team
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree or a combination of education/certification(s) and/or experience suitable for the position
  • Experience working in budgeting, accounting, office management, project management or related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a higher education or nonprofit setting

 

Please Note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
