Online Instructional Technologist

Summary

Collaborates with faculty and staff on the implementation of instructional technologies for the development and delivery of online courses

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Builds new online master courses
  • Monitors online courses and maintains basic quality requirements
  • Supports faculty in the effective and appropriate use of technology for teaching online courses, including the use of the university's course management system, media, collaboration tools and other instructional technologies
  • Develops and conducts training workshops on instructional technology, and creates instructional materials for faculty and staff on the use of instructional technologies
  • Troubleshoots and resolves instructional technology issues for faculty and staff
  • Maintains knowledge of new instructional technologies and features, and informs faculty and staff, as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimal amount of experience working in course management systems, technology workshop development, technology support, or in other related work 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, instructional design, education, or a related field of study

 

Please note: This position is located on the university's Providence, Rhode Island campus. It is not a remote position.
