Campus Dining Assistant Manager

Summary

Assists with the daily operations of the student dining center and instruction of students at the dining center

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Guides students daily work in accordance with the practical curriculum
  • Assists with menu design and food production
  • Maintains supply inventory by ordering supplies from approved vendors, receiving goods and storing them appropriately
  • Assists with catering events
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Moderate amount of experience working in food service, culinary arts or other related experience
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a food safety managers certification approved by the Conference for Food Protection
  • Availability to work nights and weekends

 

Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a 200 mile radius of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
