Summary

Administers employment and compensation programs and policies. Assists in the administration of the university payroll budget

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Implements compensation programs, policies and procedures
  • Assists in the administration of the payroll budget for the university including reviewing open positions and maintaining budgeting software system and data
  • Prepares and reviews various budget reports, responds to inquiries and communicates questions or concerns to management
  • Assists in the development and administration of compensation practices including job evaluation, job documentation, and salary survey completion and benchmarking
  • Recommends salary changes and hiring ranges
  • Assists with the administration of the annual compensation review process
  • Gathers and maintains data to forecast compensation needs; prepares statistical reports regarding compensation
  • Maintains knowledge of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations and facilitates compliance at JWU
  • Assists in preparation and monitoring of departmental budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working in human resources, compensation or in other related work


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in human resources or a related field of study

 

Please Note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a 100 mile radius of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
