Summary


Assists undergraduate and graduate transfer students with their enrollment in the university's degree programs by obtaining official transcripts from prior institutions and evaluating and awarding academic transfer credits

Essential Job Functions

  • Requests, expedites, receives and processes official transcripts from other institutions in support of student applications to the university's degree programs
  • Evaluates, awards, posts, and maintains transfer and pending academic credits to student records in the university system
  • Collaborates with academic advisors in advising transfer students of the transfer credits awarded, and in discussing the student's academic program choices based on transferability of academic credit
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative and cooperative relationships with various internal constituencies to resolve student issues related to initial enrollment in programs
  • Maintains records of communication with applicants and enrollees per department guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in higher education registrar's office, transfer admissions, student services or other related experience

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
