Essential Job Functions
- Provides individual and group counseling for students to encourage personal, emotional, and social growth to comply with professional standards, keeping accurate records of the services provided
- Conducts assessments, referrals, and consultations to support students with behavioral health needs (e.g., mental health, alcohol and other drug issues)
- Provides crisis intervention and on-call consultation, as needed, to manage behavioral health emergencies and sexual assaults
- Develops outreach programming to educate the student body on behavioral health and other topics (e.g., sexual assault awareness, drug prevention, etc.) and enrich the campus life
- Provides consultation to faculty, staff and parents on behavioral health issues affecting students
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in a clinical setting, crisis intervention, working with diverse student populations, or other related experience
- Clinical license in Rhode Island
