Essential Job Functions
- Utilizes appropriate cleaning procedures for assigned duties so that products are acquired, maintained, and stored according to university policy and health code regulations
- Executes bakery banquet events and a la carte orders, as needed
- Executes tasks required for opening and/or closing shifts and verifies necessary check lists to confirm that the bakery meets university standards
- Prepares inventory lists for bakery items and ordering, as well as reviewing items received
- Garnishes and plates bakery items for display, as appropriate for service
- Maintains the proper storage and rotation of ready-made food products complying with appropriate standards
- Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Experience working in a bakery, bake shop or baking or other related experience
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Availability to work mornings and weekends
Please note: Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
