Essential Job Functions
- Tutors students on specific course content, course-related readings and course-related written assignments
- Tutors students in the area of academic success skills (e.g. learning strategies, time management, etc.)
- Coordinates tutoring goals with advisers, academic counselors and faculty to effectively meet student needs
- Attends tutor training sessions and staff meetings, as applicable
- Administers individualized tests to students with accommodations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communication, writing, English, English Education or a related field of study
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or greater in rhetoric and composition
- Experience teaching or tutoring developmental and first-year English composition courses

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
