Summary

The Denver Campus president is responsible for leading the campus effectively to ensure the fulfillment of campus and university strategic objectives. The president advances strategic initiatives to fulfill the university’s mission of providing students with an exceptional education that inspires professional success and lifelong personal and intellectual growth.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Leads campus efforts to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Oversees and ensures effective campus operations, articulating clear priorities and goals for the operation and development of the campus in alignment with the university's strategic plan, policies and procedures
  • Collaborates with university stakeholders to plan and manage the organizational, operational and academic functions of the campus, as well as its physical plant
  • Works with the university’s resource development team to plan campuswide development including a comprehensive fundraising campaign; leads local and regional fundraising efforts
  • Collaborates with the university finance team and other administrators to develop annual operating budgets; monitors campus revenue and expenditures within approved budgets
  • Builds and maintains positive, professional relationships with officials and representatives of local and regional businesses, and community and civic groups to enhance the campus position within the state and local area
  • Represents the campus at university, industry and community meetings and functions
  • Serves on senior management committee(s) and other universitywide teams as designated by university leadership
  • Supervises and develops staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university and campus policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution
  • Significant amount of executive-level management experience in a regionally accredited institution or an equivalent setting
  • Strategic and visionary leader who is student centered and committed to diversity and inclusion
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving competencies
  • Record of sound fiscal management
  • Personal and professional integrity
